OREANDA-NEWS  The ban on the movement of ships in the port of Novorossiysk was lifted from 10.39 Moscow time, the press service of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) reported.

"CPC carries out the withdrawal of the tanker from the VPU-3 and the installation of the next tanker for loading. The tanker continues to be loaded at VPU-2," the message says.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that at night the unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Novorossiysk were destroyed by fire from the regular weapons of Russian ships guarding the outer raid of the naval base.

The CPC noted that there was no damage to the consortium's infrastructure, the shipment of oil continued, but a temporary ban on the movement of ships in the port of Novorossiysk was established.

The CPC pipeline connects the oil fields of western Kazakhstan and Russian fields on the Caspian shelf with the sea terminal in Novorossiysk. Its length is 1,511 km. The system is the main export route for Kazakh oil, accounting for more than 80% of the volumes pumped through the pipeline in Kazakhstan. In 2022, the pipeline provided transportation and shipment for export of 58.7 million tons of oil, which is 3.3% less than the level of 2021.
