OREANDA-NEWS The construction of the National Space Center (NCC) on the former territory of the Khrunichev Center in Moscow indicates Russia's intention to strengthen its position in space, said Oleg Kononenko, deputy head of the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center (CPC). "The construction of such a futuristic NCC has symbolic significance. This is a powerful signal of Russia's intention to maintain and strengthen its position in space, despite all the challenges of the modern world," said the head.
He noted that the complex of buildings with a total area of 257 thousand square meters will unite the offices of various enterprises and organizations of the Roscosmos state Corporation. Kononenko called the construction of the NCC a landmark project in the Russian space industry, which will ensure the synergy of organizations in the Russian rocket and space industry.
