The Ministry of Industry and Trade spoke about the problem of discounts on marketplaces

OREANDA-NEWS The problem of financing discounts and bonuses by marketplaces can be solved without government intervention and external regulation. This opinion was expressed by Nikita Kuznetsov, head of the Department for the Development of Domestic Trade at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. His words are quoted by TASS.
He expressed hope for a similar outcome to the disputes between marketplaces and financial authorities. "We really hope that a solution will be found, maybe even outside the framework of government regulation," Kuznetsov said. The best option would be to reach a compromise on this issue between the largest online platforms, he added. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, in turn, is ready to contribute to this, the official stressed.
Kuznetsov called the claims of the Central Bank (CB) and a number of entrepreneurs to such practices of marketplaces fair. "Massive discounts cause a lot of complaints from entrepreneurs," he stressed. Against this background, the largest marketplaces need to come to an agreement among themselves and solve this problem themselves. "You know, the best option is if online retailers come to an agreement on their own," Kuznetsov concluded.
