OREANDA-NEWS On March 1, the Moscow Stock Exchange will launch weekend trading on the stock market in an experimental mode, according to the exchange's message.

"On March 1, 2025, trading on the stock market of the Moscow Stock Exchange will start over the weekend in an experimental mode, providing the possibility of a phased connection of market participants as they are ready. Weekend trading will be conducted as part of an additional weekend session, which is part of the trading day following the weekend," the message says.
At the first stage, the most liquid stocks will be allowed to trade on the weekend. To reduce the risks of volatility and ensure liquidity, the price boundaries during weekend trading will be narrowed – the maximum allowable change in the paper price will be 3% of the closing price of the previous trading day and will not change, the exchange explains.

On March 1, the auction will last in the following mode: from 14.00 to 14.10 Moscow time – the opening auction, from 14.10 to 19.00 Moscow time – the trading period. March 2: 09.50–10.00 Moscow time – opening auction; 10.00–19.00 Moscow time – trading period.
