OREANDA-NEWS  Energy cooperation between Russia and India goes beyond fuel trade and includes projects in the field of nuclear energy and infrastructure development in the Arctic, Sammy Kotwani, president of the Indian Business Alliance (IBA) in Russia, told RIA Novosti.

"We already see that (energy cooperation — ed.) goes beyond the trade in clean oil. In the field of peaceful atomism, Russia and India are discussing new projects for the construction of nuclear reactors, including cooperation on small modular reactors and approaches to localization," Kotwani said.

In addition to cooperation in the nuclear energy sector, he highlighted India's strategic interest in developing energy projects in the Arctic, including those dedicated to logistics in the region, which will allow the country to ensure energy security.
