OREANDA-NEWS  Moscow hopes that Yerevan will not take steps that harm relations with Russia and will maintain them, said Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin. RIA Novosti writes about this.

According to the diplomat, Moscow is ready to assist Armenia in expanding international relations. "At the same time, we believe that the Armenian side will not take steps that harm our multifaceted cooperation and undermine the centuries—old ties between our fraternal peoples," the head of the Russian diplomatic mission stressed.

He added that Moscow sees great potential in the development of regional cooperation between the South Caucasus, Russia, Iran and Turkey.

Earlier, Armenia allowed the withdrawal of Russian border guards from the country with the participation of the United States.
