OREANDA-NEWS  The estimate of federal budget expenditures in 2023 has been increased by 800 billion rubles, to 32.5 trillion. Vedomosti writes about this with reference to the data of the Electronic Budget website and a source close to the government.

The previous estimate of expenditures in the amount of 31.7 billion rubles was given in the draft law on the federal budget for 2024-2026, approved by the State Duma last week. The representative of the Ministry of Finance pointed out that the spending forecast was revised in October, and the source of funds was additional non-oil and gas revenues.

At the same time, the official noted that it will be possible to estimate receipts by the end of the year not earlier than the beginning of December, when the level of November taxes becomes clear. Another interlocutor of the publication stressed that the cash execution of expenses rarely coincides with the summary painting, the latter is always larger.

As the article says, it is difficult to assess the recipient of new expenses. Last year, the Ministry of Finance closed the reporting on spending depending on the direction, but the main ones for this and next years are defense, economy and security.

Russia's budget deficit in the first ten months of the year amounted to 1.2 trillion rubles, or 0.7 percent of GDP. This result was achieved due to the surplus of the last three months, which had a sharp drop in the ruble exchange rate.
