OREANDA-NEWS The Russian military from the BARS-11 volunteer detachment and the command of the Tsar Wolves unit pulled almost an entire British Storm Shadow cruise missile from the contact line, it was handed over to specialized specialists for study, Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Tsar Wolves Military Technical Center, told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

"I am glad that it was our division that did it. Now our air defense will shoot down this thing, and it will gradually become useless," Rogozin said. According to him, the rocket went to the Russian fighters almost intact.

"It is only partially destroyed - it fell very successfully flat. The rocket was divided into several parts by our technical specialists right on the battlefield, the high-explosive and cumulative parts separately, the control unit separately, the wing was folded for ease of transportation," Rogozin explained.
He clarified that the rocket uses very high-level electronics, which withstood overload during the fall. The operation to evacuate the captured missile took two days.

"There was a GPS beacon working there, which could guide the enemy's capture group. Despite the fact that we blocked it, our fighters had to practically not sleep with this missile, move all the time and even take the fight - there was an attempt by the enemy's DRG to intercept a car with a rocket and an escort car on the road," the source added.

He stressed that the study by Russian specialists of the design and filling of the rocket will allow the Russian defense industry to find the most effective ways to combat Storm Shadow.
