OREANDA-NEWS The State Duma adopted the law on the platform economy in Russia in the second and third readings.
"As the digital economy is gaining momentum and becoming a de facto separate industry, with its own financial, labor and contractual relationships, as well as controversial issues, it becomes obvious that all this requires appropriate separate regulation. Therefore, this law, on the one hand, is the first step in regulating the platform economy, starting with the so—called marketplaces, on the other hand, it is the basis for further regulation of this huge industry as a whole, where other platforms, such as tourism and logistics, will gradually be loaded," said the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy.
