The State Duma will consider a draft law on fines for selling energy drinks to children

OREANDA-NEWS The State Duma at its plenary session on Tuesday will consider in the first reading a bill on fines of up to 500,000 rubles for selling energy drinks to children, said Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
"The State Duma will consider a number of important, including socially significant bills in the coming week. On Tuesday, March 4, deputies will discuss in the first reading the establishment of responsibility for the sale of non-alcoholic tonic drinks to children, in particular energy drinks," said Volodin, quoted by the press service of the State Duma.
The draft law proposes to supplement the Code of Administrative Offences with a new article 14.16.1, which establishes liability for violating the rules of retail sale of non-alcoholic tonic drinks to minors, if this action does not contain a criminal offense, in the form of fines: for citizens - from 30 to 50 thousand rubles; for officials - from 100 to 200 thousand rubles; for legal entities - from 300 thousand to 500 thousand rubles.
