The trade war with the BRICS country has turned into a defeat for the United States

OREANDA-NEWS Irrefutable evidence has emerged that China is defeating the United States in the trade war that the head of the White House, Donald Trump, announced to Beijing. The corresponding verdict was issued by The Washington Post (WP).
Signs of the United States' defeat include the fact that in the first half of 2025, China grew by an average of 5.3 percent, while the United States grew by only 1.25 percent. Another fact is Trump's failed attempts to get serious concessions from China. The same cannot be said about other countries that succumbed to Washington's pressure. However, China retaliated by slapping 125 percent tariffs on the United States' 145 percent tariffs. In addition, the Chinese president restricted the export of rare earth metals to the United States, which created the risk of a complete shutdown of a number of industries, from cars to fighter jets.
As a result, the US president had to step back. He reduced US duties on Chinese goods to 30 percent. China responded by lowering its tariffs to ten percent. And although the White House is trying to present what happened as a victory, in reality it is only a matter of a truce. The United States has not succeeded in combating Chinese dumping, as well as intellectual property theft. Moreover, the Trump administration has effectively suspended export controls on the sale of sensitive technologies to China. This is evidenced, in particular, by the fact that Washington has approved the sale of advanced Nvidia chips to China.
