OREANDA-NEWS The House of Representatives of the US Congress has prepared and unveiled a bill providing for the allocation of $ 14.3 billion in aid to Israel, The Hill reports.

The document provides for the allocation of $4 billion for the Israeli defense systems "Iron Dome" and "David's Sling" and another $1.2 billion for the development of the defense system "Iron Ray", the publication says.

The implementation of this initiative provides for a reduction in funding under the law on reducing inflation, which means it will affect the funds included in the Democrats' radical bill on taxes, healthcare and climate adopted last year, the newspaper writes.

In addition, the bill on aid to Israel does not correspond to the White House strategy of linking aid to Ukraine and Israel in one piece of legislation. All this can make it difficult to pass, according to The Hill. The House Rules Committee will consider the bill on Wednesday.

The Hill recalls that last week the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved a resolution supporting Israel and condemning the Palestinian radical movement Hamas, which became the first piece of legislation passed after Mike Johnson was elected speaker.
