OREANDA-NEWS US President Donald Trump has once again accused Japan of creating a trade imbalance with the United States. He was quoted by Bloomberg.

On the eve of the visit of American Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant to this Asian country, the head of the White House complained that Japan supplies "millions and millions" of cars a year to the US market.

"We don't sell them any cars because they don't accept our cars. And they also don't accept most of our agricultural products," Trump protested.

The agency noted that about 80 percent of Japan's trade surplus with the United States is accounted for by cars and auto parts.

Before that, Trump complained that Japan refuses to buy American rice, even though it suffers from a shortage of this product. In response, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba recalled that his country was acquiring California rice.
