OREANDA-NEWS The first president of Russia, Boris Yeltsin, once turned a huge country into a colony of the West, and here it is important to call things by their proper names. This is what Reserve Lieutenant General Andrei Gurulev said in an interview with the Tsargrad TV channel.
"When Boris Nikolaevich [Yeltsin] turned Russia into a colony of the West (...) With this colony, Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] confidently leads us to sovereignty," he said.
Gurulev continued, noting that it is not easy for the Russian leader. Nevertheless, the starting point for a fundamental change in Russia's policy aimed at approaching sovereignty is not even the special military operation (SVO) in Ukraine, but the president's speech delivered in Munich back in 2007.
