Children of all ages were riding pony-cycles, shooting in a shooting gallery, they did paper and plasticine crafts, watched fascinating scientific experiments, came to know each other, socialized, and had a lot of fun.

Soon after, children were invited to the dinner and official part of the day. They watchedan interesting and exciting theatrical play as well as performances of famous entertainers, such as: magician Sergei Listopad, singer and songwriter Andrei Kovalev, actors – brothers Yuri and Vladimir Torsuevy, musician Andrei Aleksin. The concert was conducted by Levan Todua, secular reporter and TV presenter.

The guests and participants were welcomed by Leonid Romanov, the Head of Charity Foundation “Homeless Children’s Assistance Center”, by Victor Ozerov, the Chairman of Coordination Council on Non-State Security and Defense, and others.

“By coming here today you have changed the whole working atmosphere natural for our wonderful World Trade Center Moscow. You’ve brought along your energy, smiles and joy. And it’s great! It makes not only you but us – adults – energized and fired up as well. We’ve seen today delegations from different regions of the country and guests from south-east of Ukraine. I’d like to note that all of you whom I see at this terrific festival in our lovely WTC Moscow are very beautiful and outstanding people. Therefore, congratulations!”, – welcomed the young guests Elena Dybova, RF CCI Vice-president.

Vladimir Pasik, Vice Director General of WTC Moscow, in his turn marked: “We organize this fest here in our quarters every year while preparing it very thoroughly, always taking into consideration your requests. On behalf of our team I welcome you and wish you to enjoy your time here.I Hope we will keep meeting here annually for many years yet to come!”

The day before the festival at WTC quarters was organized an unusual event for war-affected children: a meeting with bikers from Moscow motorcycle clubs “Zlatoverst” and Bad Russian Riders Club. That became a real adventure for the kids as bikers talked to them, presented them with special souvenirs, took pictures with the kids, and even gave them a ride on motorbikes. During the official part of Children’s Day celebration groups’ supervisors expressed their gratitude to WTC’s staff for organizing such a wonderful festival with rich cultural and entertaining programmes, for their hospitality, care and support. They also presented World Trade Center with a Letter of Gratitude.

World Trade Center Moscow’s press service had a chance to have short talks with the organizers of the event and therefore to gather the impression of it:

“The main judges of the festival are those to whom we help. It’s become a common knowledge that nowadays it is not that easy to raise funds for any purpose. Indeed, we are indebted to World Trade Center since notwithstanding all the obstacles it still traditionally holds an event such as this. World Trade Center is a very beautiful place, and the attitude of people who conduct this event is undoubtedly warm; in fact it’s so nice and earnest that everyone who’s leaving asks for the invitation for the next year”, – said Leonid Romanov, the Head of Charity Foundation “Homeless Children’s Assistance Center”, to the WTC Moscow press service.

Elena Dybova, RF CCI Vice-president, in her turn, pointed out in a conversation: “The main difference between children and adults is that they let everything shown on their faces. There is nothing to question. One glance at their happy faces and shining eyes and you understand immediately - they are having a play-day!”

“The essential goal that we set for ourselves for today was to ensure that the children are having fun, feeling cozy in here, and to make this day memorable for them. I think we have managed to do so”, – noted Viktor Ozerov, the Chairman of Coordination Council on Non-State Security and Defense.

The singer Olga Stelmach has also shared her impressions of the festival. “I have visited World Trade Center before, but it was a long time ago. Thank you for inviting me. The atmosphere of a holiday is even evident at the lobby, and you have decorated everything very lovely! The nature, the weather, the atmosphere – everything today is so nice... Today you will hear the best of my songs: bright, sunny, positive, at a tempo – we are definitely not going to be sad”, – said the singer.
