The building will store the documents of the Central State Historical Archive and the Central State Archive of Literature and Art.  At the moment, the stock of the existing archives in the old buildings is almost exhausted.

The area of the projected building will be 18 thousand square meters.  On the first and second floors of the building will be the assembly and exhibition halls, the building will hold 2.3 million units of storage.

The main points of the concept have already been determined, and the project organization is going to prepare all the necessary documents for passing the state examination by September 2019.  This means that large-scale archival transfer can occur in a few years.
