OREANDA-NEWS The TV towers of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network will be painted black and orange in honor of Tiger Day from September 23 to September 30 this year. This was announced by representatives of the "Amur Tiger" center in Max.

It is noted that the main television tower of the country, Ostankino, will show a video captured on a camera trap in the Khabarovsk Territory. The footage will show Kiya the tigress with cubs at the marking rock. In support of the campaign, TV towers in other cities will be painted in tiger colors.


It is also known that events in honor of the aforementioned holiday will be held in the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District. So, on September 25, a metal sculpture of a tiger will be unveiled in the village of Krasny Yar in the Pozharsky district of Primorsky Krai. Then, on September 26, Russia's first state Amur tiger rehabilitation center will be opened in the Ussuriysky city district of Primorye.

Earlier in September, the Russian governor announced an increase in the tiger population thanks to Putin. According to Oleg Kozhemyako, the mammal population in Primorsky Krai has grown to 600 individuals.
