OREANDA-NEWS  The cultural code of Russia has become a trend among designers, and such clothes are very popular with consumers, said Inna Svyatenko, Vice Speaker of the Federation Council.

"I would like to note that the cultural code of Russia or the locality (regions - ed.) in which they live has really become a trend among designers now. And we see that such clothes are very popular with consumers. Of course, inspired by the richness of Russian color, designers create completely new collections. And the regional authorities are very actively supporting and promoting them," the senator said during a briefing at the Rossiya Segodnya international media group dedicated to the IV International Fashion Community Forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg on November 19-21.

Svyatenko noted that one of the topics in the light industry that deserves attention is equipment and personnel.

"Of course, the emphasis was on designers, but we must not forget that a designer without a designer, without a technologist, will not do anything at all. And that's why it's very important that we now produce exactly the right personnel. Moreover, colleges and universities do not have enough modern equipment, which is already used in light industry enterprises," she said.
