OREANDA-NEWS Rospotrebnadzor instructed employees of sanitary quarantine points at airports to strengthen control over connecting flights on which passengers from Uganda, where an outbreak of Ebola has been registered, can arrive, Interfax reports.

The decision to strengthen anti-epidemic measures was taken by the department because of an alleged case of Ebola in the UK.

Measures were also taken to increase the alertness of health workers in terms of collecting an epidemiological history for any treatment of persons with symptoms that do not exclude Ebola.

Doctors remind that initially Ebola is infected from animals, and then the virus is transmitted from person to person. The first symptoms are fever, muscle spasms, headache and sore throat. This is followed by impaired kidney and liver functions, and in some cases, internal and external bleeding begins.
