OREANDA-NEWS   The Russian Dmitry Donskoy has circumnavigated the Dmitry Donskoy Project 941 (code "Shark") heavy nuclear-powered strategic missile cruiser more than four times in 40 years, having traveled 110 thousand nautical miles, thereby circumnavigating the Earth more than four times. This was stated by the commander of the nuclear submarine (submarine), Captain 1st rank Oleg Tsybin.

"Yes, and he has shown himself to be a reliable fighting organism. Since its birth — since 1982 — as of August of this year, the cruiser has passed 110 thousand nautical miles. This is about four circles around the globe, even a little more. During this time, the ship has never returned from the sea in an emergency," the commander said.

According to him, the heavy nuclear-powered strategic missile cruiser "100 percent paid its debt to the Motherland." Tsybin thanked the developer of the submarine, the Rubin Design Bureau, and its builder, the Sevmash enterprise. "The ship turned out to be reliable," the commander summed up.
