OREANDA-NEWS An autonomous airship flying inside the building was presented at Innopolis University. The development was fully carried out by university students, the project was presented as part of the "Digital Days of Innopolis," writes Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The shell is filled with helium, the electronics and software are the team's own development. The device flies indoors without GPS: the position and course are determined by a UWB system of five beacons and two markers. Six engines give you full control — height, tilt, turns and forward movement.
"Now there are airships on the Russian market that fly inside buildings. But they are manual piloting. Here we are trying to achieve full autonomy," says the project manager, fourth—year student Evgeny Shlomov.
As long as it is exhibition equipment, it can be used at exhibitions, put up advertisements, or install an FPV camera. The airship lifts 200 grams, it will not be able to fly on the street — it will be blown away by the wind. The laboratory has also created a mobile cargo transportation platform that bypasses obstacles by itself and captures racks thanks to lidars. Such systems are in demand in the warehouses of marketplaces.
Earlier it was reported that the Nerekhta-E Russian ground-based robotic complex (NRTC) has begun to be launched on the world market.
