OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" has conducted the market research of new cars in Russia, and it has calculated the profit from their sale for 10 months in 2016. According to the study, during this period, Russians spent on the purchase of new passenger cars 1.45 trillion rubles, which is less by 0.6% than in the same period of the last year.

The leader in sales in the Russian market is Japanese Toyota, which from the sale of new cars received 167.3 billion rubles – more by 6.5% than a year before. With a slight lag in the second place there is the German Mercedes-Benz, whose figure for the reporting period was 163.3 billion rubles (+ 6.4%). The third place is occupied by the Korean KIA, which managed to earn 123.4 billion rubles (+ 4.3%).
