OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2007. The “RAO UESR Reform: Impulse to the Development of the Electro-Technical Industry in the Country” conference was held in Moscow. Anatoly Chubais, Chairman of the “RAO UESR” Management Board, Andrey Deineko, Director of the Department Industry of the RF Ministry of Industry and Power Engineering, Boris Vainzikher, “RAO UESR” Technical Director, Aleksander Chistyakov, First Deputy Chairman of JSC “FGC UES” Management Board, Valentin Gapanovich, Vice-President and Chief Engineer of JSC “RRW”.

Executives electro-technical equipment producing plants, and companies of the “RAO UESR” holding, responsible for technical policy and the implementation of investment programs, as well as representatives from specialized research institutes were among more than 400 participants of the conference.

The main subject of the conference was the “RAO UESR” investment program for 2006-2010 and its influence on the prospects of the development of the electro-technical industry in the country. The total volume of financing investment program is more than 3 billion roubles, including over 1.3 billion, to be transferred to the development for grid infrastructure by 2011. Sergey Schumacher, Deputy General Director, Technical Director of the JSC “IDGC of the Center and North Caucasus” acted as an expert in the panel discussion on cable-conductor production. The discussion was devoted to the management of the problems, arising at the companies, producing cable gears. At present, power engineers and especially grid power companies demand a top quality product.

“Currently, the changing approaches to investments, considering their quantity and quality, lead to setting completely new requirements to the equipment, applied in the electric grid industry. These requirements were fixed in the “Regulations on the JSC “FGC UES” Technical Policy in the Electric Grid Industry”, noted Sergey Schumacher.


Moreover, Sergey Schumacher expressed concern about cheap and sub-standard products appearing on the Russian market, particularly armature for self-bearing cables, and suggested drawing up “RAO UESR” standards for the key types of equipment and materials for the electric grids.
