OREANDA-NEWS. On September 26, 2007 the Cabinet of Ministers introduced quotas for grain export since November 1, 2007 till March 31, 2008 at 1,203 million tons, Economy Minister Anatoliy Kinakh told a government sitting Wednesday, reported the Official website www.kmu.gov.ua.

The export quota for corn was approved at 600,000 tons, for barley at 400,000 tons, fodder wheat, 6th grade at 200,000 tons and rye at 3,000 tons.

The Government intended to introduce the quotas since October 1, 2007 till April 2008 and planned the export potential in 2007 at 4-5 million tons.

The gross crop of grain in 2007 will amount to 28 million tons versus 34,3 million tons in 2006.
