OREANDA-NEWS. On 16th and 17th October the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) will consider cases against "BRK Invest Limited" CJSC, "Domodedovo Aerotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC for breaching Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (abusing dominant position), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The cases against the above companies were initiated upon the joint audit of parking facilities in Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports by FAS Russia and the Moscow Office of FAS Russia. The audit took place following customers' complaints about high parking prices in the airports as well as impossible time limit for leaving the airports.

Having analyzed the short-term parking services market in the airports, and studied the audit materials, it was established that BRK Invest Limited" CJSC, "Domodedovo Aerotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC offer short-term parking services in the above airports and hold dominant position on the relevant market.

Based on the audit results, FAS Russia initiated cases against BRK Invest Limited" CJSC, "Domodedovo Aerotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC for breaching Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" that fordibds abusing dominant positions by economic entities, including infringement of the interests of other persons by fixing or maintaining monopolistically high price for their services; withdrawing services if it results in increasing prices on such services; and imposing unprofitable contract conditions on the counteragent.

FAS Russia will consider the case against BRK Invest Limited" on 16th October 2007.

Cases against "Domodedovo Aerotel" CJSC and "Vnukovo-Invest" OJSC will be heard on 17th October.

All persons concerned may present to FAS Russia information that might be important for considering the cases, such as examples of parking organization in Russian and foreign airports: parking prices, rate-setting (charged hourly, or per minute), free parking facilities and their distance to the airport terminal, etc.
