OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2007.  ESTAR is currently considering the possibility of building a metallurgical plant in Western Siberia. The general director of the managing company ESTAR, Vladimir Lobko, announced that at the 13th International Industrial Exhibition “Metal-Expo”. It is expected that the enterprise will produce slab section for the Novosibirsk Metallurgical Plant named after Kuzmin or bar section for the Guryevsk Metallurgical Plant that are both part of the ESTAR Group of companies. The project is currently at the stage of development, and the construction site is being chosen. The work will start in 2008, as Lobko noted. Besides, he said, a mill for production of round and shaped pipes from c/r and stainless steel will be launched at the Volgograd Small Diameter Pipe Plant on November, 16th. The mill, produced in Italy, will have a capacity of about 10,000 t of products per year with a diameter of 10-63,5 mm and cross-section of 15X15 mm, 50X50 mm for square products and 20X10 mm, 60X40 mm for rectangular. These pipes will be used for construction, electric engineering and furniture production.

Besides, it is planned to launch a refrigerator pipe production mill at the plant in 2008.
