OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2007. The National Bank of Ukraine announced that new coins are in circulation since November 23, 2007. The coins are issued in commemoration of  victims of 1932–1933 Famine (Golodomor). On the coin, in the centre there is depicted a girl holding spikelets in her hands who is standing on a stubble-field. On each side of the girl there are twigs of a snowball tree. Below there is depicted the small National Emblem of Ukraine (to the left), 2007, the coin issue year (to the right) and there are the semicircular inscriptions: on the silver coin: twenty 20 Hryvnia, Ag 925, designation of the metal,62,2, its mass in fineness; on the German silver coin: five 5 Hryvnia, and on both coins there is the semicircular inscription: National Bank of Ukraine and the NBU Mint logotype. The coins are manufactured with patina technology.
