OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2007. In 2007, average salary at Avlita Stevedore Company grew from UAH 1,906 to UAH 2,586, a 34,7 percent increase compared to 2006. The increased average salary is almost twice as much as the average salary in Sevastopol. In 2007, the company's payroll fund made UAH 24m, up UAH 6,7m from 2006, reported the press-centre of SCM.

Considerable average salary growth last year was enabled by stable high volumes of transshipment maintained by Avlita as well as modernization, and improvement of efficiency of transshipment facilities and labour productivity.

Average salary growth helped Avlita to increase payment of personal income tax to local budget by 74%, up to UAH 4m, in 2007. Moreover, contributions to Pension Fund grew 37 percent (UAH 5,4m in 2006 and UAH 7,4m in 2007).

"Thanks to on-going modernization we plan to boost our production performance in 2008. It will definitely result in further increase of  our employees' incomes, payments to local budget, and in the long run, in improvement of  living standards in Sevastopol," Oleg Karpov, Avlita's General Director, said.
