OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2007. The Board of Directors of the Company at the scheduled meeting considered the matter “Of the Flying Safety of the OJSC “Aeroflot” in 2007”, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The Board of Directors approved of the flying safety management programs, completed in the Company, having allowed the Company to improve the absolute and qualitative indexes. The scheduled International Operational Safety Audit (IATA-IOSA) effected in Aeroflot in June, 2007, has confirmed the high level of organization of the safety management. The positive results were facilitated by the efficient work of the quality management system and the risk management program pertaining to the flying safety. Owing to the taken measures the level of the Aeroflot aircraft safety fully corresponds to the requirements of the European Conference of Civil Aviation, SAFA program.

The Board of Directors has noted the information “About Regional SSJ-100 Plane and the process of interaction with the CJSC “Sukhoi Civil Planes”. Under the contracts concluded between the companies Aeroflot in 2008-2012 is to receive 30 SSJ-100 airplanes on the operational and financial leasing terms. Within the frame of the 20 more planes option, the pre-contractual documentation for 15 airplanes has been prepared. The collaboration between the OJSC “Aeroflot” and CJSC “Sukhoi Civil Planes” is planned as part of seven bilateral working groups of various directions: flying operation, technical maintenance, salon interior, personnel training, etc.

The Aeroflot manufacturing capabilities are being prepared and certified, flight trainers and simulators - provided, service agreements and personnel training - prepared and effected in accordance to the plan. The delivery of the first SSJ-100 plane is planned for the end of 2008.
