OREANDA-NEWS. On February 01, 2007 premium-rate 900 numbers and toll-free 800 numbers of all landline networks were changed to the eight-digit format. Consequently, the toll-free SEB Unibanka Call Centre phone number will be changed – from 8008009 to 800 0 8009, reported the press-centre of SEB Unibanka.

Lattelecom informs that from February 1 everyone calling SEB Unibanka on the present phone number will be informed that the number has been changed and a zero has to be added to the old number in order to call us.

Since there is no transition period (when the old number can be used) for the said numbers, SEB Unibanka recommends to start using the new toll-free number 800 0 8009 in order to avoid listening to the message on the changes and redialling.

Information on the change of our phone number will be included in detailed account reports and account statements for January and shown on queuing displays at our customer service centres.

Further information on the transition to the eight-digit format can be obtained on the website of Lattelecom, www.lattelecom.lv and by calling on the customer service phone of Lattelecom, 177.

For reference:
The transition to the eight-digit format in the electronic communications network of Latvia is stipulated by Cabinet Regulations of 2005 on the procedure and timeframes for the transition to the eight-digit format phone numbers. The transition was commenced on November 1, 2005 and will be finished on August 1, 2008; however, it does not apply to short  two-, three- and four-digit phone numbers, e.g. 02, 112, 1188 etc.
