OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2008. КМТ Industrial Group (Lomonosov city, St. Petersburg, a CJSC Transmashholding member company) won a tender for a delivery of 70 aluminum-plastic window sets for passenger coaches announced by the Gomelsky Carriage Works (Belarus), reported the press-centre of Transmashholding.

The tender resulted in a year-long contract for a delivery of 70 aluminum-plastic window sets for passenger coaches manufactured by the Tver Carriage Works and German rail cars designated 47K.

Sine the KMT products will be used for repairs of various rail cars, the window sets will comprise both wide and thin windows of different types (single and double glass panes).

The aluminum-plastic windows manufactured by the KMT integrate cut-of-the-edge technology. They feature a number of technological and consumer advantages over previous generation models, such as service life extended to 28 years, pressure-tight glass pane reducing heat losses, rubber sealers for tighter connection with the car body preventing water and dust from getting into the coach. The up-to-date window design enables 15-minute-long mounting and 20-minute-long replacement of a broken pane. Due to the window production technology the windows can have various dimensions, can be fitted with polymer films of different colors for better durability.

The KMT has been successfully cooperating with two Belorusan car repairing plants, Gomelsky and Minsky, since 2001. The plants announce tenders once a year and sign year-long products delivery contracts with the winners.
