OREANDA-NEWS. March 31, 2008. Supervisory Board of the First Ukrainian International Bank has appointed Dmitriy Yurgens Vice Board Chairman of the bank, reported the press-centre of SCM.

On the position, Mr Yurgens will work out new strategic areas of bank development, determine and realize major areas of treasury activity of the bank, ensure bank's operations with securities, expand depository activity, realize loan projects with international financial institutions, as well as implement the policy to develop an efficient and reliable network of correspondent banks.

In 1999 graduated from the Kiev National Economic University with a Master degree. Also, he successfully completed a course of political economy at the Central European University, Hungary. In 2005 Mr Yurgens successfully completed the Executive Education Program for senior executives at the London Business School, UK. During his career, he worked in a number of Ukrainian and international banks and financial institutions including Societe Generale and insurance broker Marsh (Marsh & Mclennan). In January 2003, he joined System Capital Management where he was responsible for development of financial institutions owned by SCM. Later in October he was elected a Supervisory Board member of FUIB. Mr Yurgens had been Vice CEO of SCM Finance since January 2006.
