The state rural revival programme in Belarus will be adjusted considering present-day requirements and experience gained in the course of its implementation, said President Alexander Lukashenko while on a working trip to the Grodno region, reported the Official website http://president.gov.by.

The Head of State visited the V.A. Baum Agricultural Company to track the progress of the state rural revival programme 2005-2010, survey this year’s spring field work, take a look at the prospects for cattle breeding and implementation of modern-day agricultural technologies in the region.

President Alexander Lukashenko said he wanted construction of production facilities in rural areas to be made less expensive. “Local executives’ initiative should not be stifled; they will decide for themselves how to construct,” said President Alexander Lukashenko.

The Head of State deems it necessary to revive the practice of construction in rural areas using force-account construction methods. He tasked the governors and chairmen of district executive committees to go through all their projects once again in order to make the construction of production facilities in rural areas less expensive.
