OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2008. This summer, eight long-distance trains will depart from Kaliningrad en route to Gdynia, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Gomel, Chelyabinsk and Adler, reported the press-centre of Russian Railways.

Branded express train No. 30/29 Yantar (Amber) from Kaliningrad to Moscow will depart daily.
Russian Railways has decided to reduce the ticket price by 1.5 times from June 1 due to high passenger demand during the summer.

Trains No. 148/147 from Kaliningrad to Moscow and No. 80/79 from Kaliningrad to St. Petersburg will run daily in summer.

Train No. 360/359 from Kaliningrad to Adler will run every second day to take passengers to the Black Sea coast during the summer season.

The direct sleeping compartments between Kaliningrad - Simferopol, Kaliningrad - Odessa and Kaliningrad - Murmansk will continue to run throughout the year.

Express train No. 8 / 7 from Kaliningrad to Gdynia will continue to run daily and includes a straight-through coach to Berlin.

Russian Railways is working with tourist firms to arrange tourist trains between Berlin and Kaliningrad on the narrow-gauge 1435 mm track.
