OREANDA-NEWS. August 08, 2008. Beginning this August, Marek Kovalevski, Managing Director of the Lithuanian division of the international real estate consultancy company, Colliers International, will also manage the company’s representative office in Minsk. He will be responsible for implementing the company’s development strategy in Lithuania and Belarus, reported the press-centre of Colliers International.

Jurate Kavaliauskaite, who has up until now been the director of the Marketing and PR Department at Colliers International in Lithuania and Belarus, was appointed the director of the Marketing and PR Department in the Baltic States and Belarus.

‘In making this decision we took into consideration the good first and second quarter results of the Lithuanian representative office and we are raising even more complex assignments for its managers. In addition we would like to promote active co-operation between the Lithuanian and Belarusian representative offices,’ said Mihails Morozovs, Managing Partner, Colliers International Baltic States and Belarus.

‘We have achieved good results in Lithuania thanks to the professionalism of the Colliers International team. From now on we will pay more attention to implementing the strategic goals for the company’s development in Lithuania and neighbouring Belarus, encourage co-operation between Lithuanian and Belarusian real estate business representatives, and represent them in the Lithuanian market. While the Baltic States are currently experiencing stagnation in the real estate market, the Belarusian real estate market is very promising. Many of the local players in the real estate market are looking at financially more attractive neighbouring markets,’ said Marek Kovalevski. The Colliers International representative office in Minsk opened in May 2007.
