OREANDA-NEWS. October 07, 2008. UkrTransGaz, a subsidiary of Naftogaz of Ukraine, transported 90.6 billion cubic meters of gas to European countries in January-September 2008, which is 16% year-on-year.

An increase was stipulated by growth in Gazprom's export supplies to Europe, according to the press service of UkrTransGaz.

The state-owned company UkrTransGaz is the operator of the Ukrainian gas transportation system. The company operates 37,000 kilometers of gas pipelines with 71 compressor stations with the generated capacity of 5,405 MW. Ukraine has the capacity to accept 288 billion cubic meters of gas into its transportation system and to deliver 178.5 billion cubic meters for export.
