OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2008. By the end of the current year, an extra USD 15 billion is going to be injected into the national economy, said Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov during a Governmental conference call, reported the Official website http://en.government.kz.

“If we obtain support of the deputies, USD 5 billion will be injected via the SamrukKazyna Holding Company; another USD 5 billion will be allocated out of the National Oil Fund through special bonds”, K. Massimov said.

Besides, according to the preliminary agreement between the National Bank and second tier banks, another USD 5 billion will be allocated to boost liquid funds.

“These are vast resources that will enable to make a substantial break-through and level down repercussions [of the crisis] coming from the outside”, Head of the Government said.

The Prime Minister urged deputies to consider adjustments to the 2008 budget within reasonably shortest time.
