OREANDA-NEWS  On 23 October was announced, that as a result of the Russian national fair “Economic growth and partnership” which took place in Ashkhabad, in late August, Altay grain processor PAVA (www.apkhleb.ru), signed an agreement with representatives of Turkmenistan.

PAVA was part of the Altay Territory delegation headed by Vitaly Ryapolov, Vice-Governor. The Chamber of Commerce facilitated organization of the event and assisted in conducting a series of meetings and negotiations on the government and department levels.

PAVA became the first grain processing company to sign a contract with Turkmenistan government agencies as a result of participation in the fair. “When we were making the decision if this trip to Ashkhabad was necessary, there was an objective of establishing business partnership with government bodies, because at the moment we already had positive experience of working with Turkmenistan companies”, said Angela Kiseleva, Commercial Director of OJSC PAVA, who represented one of major Russian grain processors in Turkmenistan.

According to the signed agreement, PAVA will ship 5,000 tonnes of high grade flour to the Republic. The shipments will be effected within 2 months – October and November of the current year. This is the first consignment of flour of this volume to a government organization. After the flour has been shipped to Turkmenistan, it will be distributed between bakery plants, consumer co-operations and regions of the Republic.

“We hope that consumers in Turkmenistan will be satisfied with the quality of our products, and we will be able to continue collaboration in the future. Today, we’re already conducting negotiations about shipments of other sorts of flour and cereals”, says Angela Kiseleva. “We are efficient in finding mutual benefits and we’re discussing in detail the opportunities of further partnership”.
