OREANDA-NEWS. November 17, 2008 The total sum of the charity donations made by Alfa-Bank’s clients to the Life-Line Fund for saving the life of critically ill children topped one million rubles, reported the press-centre of Alfa-Bank.

From September 2008 Alfa-Bank’s clients have a new possibility to make charity donations — by the use of a ready-made template at Alfa-Click Internet Bank or by means of bank transfers to the settlement account of the Fund. Alfa Bank does not charge any bank fees for such transfers.

According to the results of the first two months the sum of the donations topped one million rubles, which makes it possible to perform expensive heart surgeries on 14 small citizens of Russia from various cities and villages:

"We are very grateful to our clients for their responsiveness to other peoples’ misfortunes. On its part Alfa-Bank offers simple and convenient instruments for aiding children in distress," said Leonid Igant, Director for Information Policy and Public Relations of Alfa-Bank.

For detailed information about free transfers from the bank accounts and through the Alfa-Bank Internet Bank in favor of critically ill children and information about the children for whom the already collected funds are to be used, refer to the web-site of Alfa-Bank.
