OREANDA-NEWS. November 20, 2008. Bank Credit Standard started to issue plastic cards in national currency of Uzbekistan (soums), the bank said. It added that the bank's soum plastic cards work in DUET system, which is used in Uzbekistan and run by UZKART interbank processing center.

Bank Credit Standard currently offers three types of plastic cards, including salary cards, corporative cards and personal cards.

Salary cards are issued for free of charge to legal entities or educational establishments to pay salaries of their staff or stipends of the students.

Corporate cards are used to carry out cashless transactions at trade-service enterprises for goods and services for needs of legal entities.

Personal cards are issued to individuals to pay for services and goods.

Bank Credit Standard said that the bank will pay interest rate at 14% APR each quarter.

UZKART interbank processing center unites 19 largest banks of Uzbekistan. These banks issue 3.7 million soum plastic cards. Over 18,000 terminals and 2,500 ATMs installed in Uzbekistan.

Bank Credit Standard founded on 16 August 2008 with the charter capital of 1.3 billion soums. The assets of the bank made up 218 billion soums as of 1 January 2008. The bank stock made up 29.4 billion soums as of 30 September 2008.
