OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2009. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated an antimonopoly case against "Podyom-1" CJSC and "LidtMontzhService" Ltd. for violating Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (concerted actions), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia suspects collusion between "Podyom-1" CJSC and "LiftMontazhService" Ltd. aimed at dividing clients on the market of the lift-maintenance services in the Moscow region. As a result of the companies' actions, legal entities cannot "change" their service-providing company, operating on the market.

If FAS Russia recognizes that a company has violated the antimonopoly legislation by engaging in illegal concerted actions or by concluding illegal agreements, the company is made administratively liable under Article 14.32 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations (turnover penalty - up to 15% of the company's turnover in the preceding year).
