OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2009. Sviaz-Bank acted as paying agent authorized by Central Telegraph, Ltd., to make payments under the company’s obligation to redeem its Series 03 bond issue and pay the accrued coupon interest, reported the press-centre of Sviaz-Bank.

The holders of the issuer’s interest-paying documentary nonconvertible bearer bonds were paid the principal at par value exactly on time and in full, along with the accrued coupon interest at 9.75% per annum. The total payments made, less tax withheld, ran up to 717,016,982 rubles. The
issuer itself fulfilled the functions of tax agent.

Central Telegraph, Ltd., floated its Series 03 bonds on April 5, 2006. Each bond carried 12 coupons paying a fixed interest of 9.75% per annum, or 24 rubles 31 kopecks per bond. The bonds had a maturity of three years and were intended to raise 700 million rubles. Sviaz-Bank was the managing underwriter of the offering.
