OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2009. The Bank of Moscow has announced an increase in its rouble deposit interest rates, the changes affecting the Prestige and Maximum deposits.

On the Prestige deposit, the interest rates have been raised for the period from 91 to 180 days and, depending on the amount deposited, are now from 7% to 8% per annum in roubles.

On the Maximum deposit, the rates have been raised for terms of 91, 551 and 732 days. Depending on the term and the sum, the rates vary between 8% and 13% per annum in roubles.

“Among the deposits available at the Bank of Moscow, Prestige and Maximum are the most popular”, comments Alla Tsytovich, Managing Director of the Retail Business Unit of the Bank of Moscow. “The Prestige deposit allows for free management of the funds: the depositor may make additional contributions of any amount at any time and make payments down to the minimum account balance without losing any interest on the deposit. Maximum allows funds to be accumulated throughout the term of the deposit at a beneficial interest rate and to receive a bank card that is commission-free for the first year of servicing”.
