OREANDA-NEWS. Starting from 23 June 2009 Aleksandra Mikhailova will act as the CEO of Media Press (part of Segodnya Multimedia owned by SCM Group) as well as the Director of Donetsk branch of Segodnya Multimedia. Earlier Ms Mikhailova held post of marketing director of Segodnya Multimedia Publishing Holding, reported the press-centre of SCM Group.

The main objectives that need to be met by Aleksandra Mikhailova include strengthening the Company's positions, increasing competitiveness and efficiency of Media Press editions, making the most use of their possibilities (Media Press publishes newspapers Salon Dona i Basa and RIO).

Media Press is one of the biggest publishers of Donetsk Region. Despite the hard times the industry of print mass media is going through, the Company's goals and objectives remain unchanged - market leadership in the region and at the same time - adequate financial performance of each edition and publishing holding as a whole. "We are going to pay special attention to advertisement sale", said Aleksandra Mikhailova, acting CEO of Media Press.

"We have a good team in the publishing house, and our employees have big potential for growth. In particular, we decided that editor-in-chief of Segodnya Donbass Aleksandr Maksyuk will also be in charge of Salon. I am sure that Aleksandr will breathe new life into the newspaper and at the same time preserve the concept of region's business analytical newspaper", added Aleksandra Mikhailova.

Aleksandr Maksyuk will combine the positions of editor-in-chief of Salon newspaper and Segodnya Donbass.

The CEO and editorial director of Segodnya Multimedia Guillermo Schmitt commented on the new appointments in Media Press: "I believe in a new team of Media Press and I am confident in their professional and creative potential.
