OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2009. Freight One’s share of haulage along the Far East railway for each of the four main kinds of rolling stock (covered wagons, open railcars, cisterns, cement carriers) increased by 24.4% in July, following a 22% rise in June, reported the press-centre of Freight One.

In July Freight One’s Vladivostok branch increased its haulage along the Far East railway to 11,200 railcars, which is up 28% on June this year and 52% on January.

The main area of growth was in the use of open railcars and covered wagons, with a 2.5-fold increase in the former and a 1.3-fold increase in the latter. The growth was mainly due to a bigger movement of coal, cement and construction materials.

Average daily haulage for the month was up 24% from 290 to 360 railcars.

“Freight One continues to strengthen its positions on the rail haulage market of the Far East. The company consistently expands its fleet of railcars and team of professionals to assist growth in haulage”, commented Viktor Osipov, director of the Vladivostok branch of JSC Freight One.
