OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2009. The financial crisis affects many sectors and industries worldwide. In Russia, its effect has been to impose major constraint on the funding of innovative Russian technology projects, both by the state and the private sector. It is in this context that the EBRD is seeking to identify viable projects which could tap the country’s scientific potential, contribute to economic diversification and increase competitiveness, reported the press-centre of EBRD.

The Bank has therefore commissioned a Russian Innovation Technology Opportunity Study with the aim of identifying on-going commercial R & D projects led by private sponsors which might qualify for funding by the Bank. The Study will be carried out by the Russian consulting company, Branan. In particular, Branan will manage the process of soliciting and screening project proposals, and will assist the Bank in selecting projects for possible follow-up.

The Bank is interested in receiving proposals for potential investment projects which promote technological innovation and/or its exploitation on an industrial scale. If you are interested in obtaining EBRD finance, please complete an Innovation Technology Project Proposal, according to the instructions given on the web page Branan: http://www.branan.ru/en/godies/innovat/

Proposals will only be accepted from commercial companies or an intermediary authorised to act for them.

All enquiries for further information concerning the Russian Innovation Technology Opportunity Study should be addressed to Branan.
