OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2009. The Association of Leasing Companies of Azerbaijan (ALCA) expects beginning of September 2009 to activate its activity, in particular, for realization of new projects.

Taxpayers in Azerbaijan could receive information on their debts in the state budget via a mobile telephone.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes reports that at present the ministry works over the project on activation of service Mesaj.

“The project will be implemented at technical support of telephone service 195, functioning in the Ministry,’ it was informed.

Mesaj is the transfer of sound report in automated regime. The Ministry of Taxes is going by this service to deliver sound reports to taxpayers in mass order. The target of the project is to deliver operatively information of the same content to a large number of taxpayers, thereby to speed the process of informing.

Currently, the issue concerning transforming of telephone service into single Call-center for state structures is being under discussions actively.

"Since July of this year taxpayers got possibility by telephone service 195 to appeal to the Ministry of Economic Development, besides the Ministry of Taxes. For this purpose during a bell in service, it is necessary to use buttons 1 (the Ministry of Taxes) and 2 (the Ministry of Economic Development),” it was informed.

Let’s remind that telephone information service 195 has been functioned since 2003. The service aims at not only answering questions of taxpayers but also receiving complaints on violations of tax legislation as well as actions (inactivity) of officials of tax structures.

The service functions during 24 hours on free basis. Taxpayers by this service can get answers to the questions about various kinds of taxes, registration on one stop-shop principle and tax accounting, rules and terms of submittal of tax reporting, electronic declarations and also have the opportunity to know sum of tax payable. In 2008, 319,439 taxpayers took advantage of the service and 158,641 taxpayers - during the first half year of 2009.
