OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2009. Branch of JSC “Engineering Center UES” - “Nizhegorodsky Teploelectroproject”- successfully completed design work for installation of steam turbine #3, Т-50/60 8,8 type, manufactured by ZAO “Urals turbine plant” for Vasileostrovskaya Combined Heat and Power Plant -7 of ОАО “TGK-1” and implemented field supervision. Installation of this turbo unit was done in line with the concept of general heat- and power supply plan for St Petersburg for the period up to 2015.

Specialists of branch of JSC “Engineering Center UES” – “Nizhegorodsky Teploelectroproject” – developed the design of installation of cogeneration turbine with 50MW electric power, and generator TPF-60-2U3 manufactured by АО “Electrosila”.

Besides, “Nizhegorodsky Teploelectroproject” developed design documentation for installation of two main heaters of heating system water PSV-500-3-23, two peak-load boilers PSV-500-14-23, three heating system pumps and one feed water pump. The Institute in Nizhniy Novgorod developed “lower level” documentation for construction of automated process control system for turbo unit #3 Т-50/60 8,8 and prepared “lower level” working documentation for Automated information and measuring system of commercial energy metering.

Start of the new turbine will make it possible to increase the overall power plant capacity by more than one/third: now the capacity is 85 MW and with the turbo unit start it will be augmented by another 50 MW.

Installation of the new turbo unit will facilitate the enhancement of reliability and improvement of quality of heat and power supply for housing and public utilities service and for the industry of Vasileostrovsky district of the city of St Petersburg.
