OREANDA-NEWS. October 28, 2009. According to NBM, as of October 16 this year, the NBM currency reserves totaled US1 billion 300,9 million. In September 30, they were equal to US 1 billion 290,5 million and as of October 9- to US 1 billion 298,5 million, respectively.

As it was informed before, for 9 months of 2009, NBM currency reserves have decreased by US 381.91 million or 22.8%. At the beginning of the year, NBM currency reserves amounted to US 1 billion 672.41 million, and as of late I half of 2009 –to about US 1 billion 210.07 million. At the beginning of 2008, NBM currency reserves amounted to US 1 billion 333.68 million and have increased by US 338.72 million (25.4%) by the end of the year.

As IMF has predicted before, in 2009 Moldova's currency reserves would fall by US 396 million (23.7%) and would amount to US 1 billion 276 million at the end of the year, and to US 1 billion 293 million as of late 2010.
