OREANDA-NEWS. November 03, 2009. In October Ukio bankas opened newly fitted up premises in the old town of the capital city. The old town’s historical building (Vilniaus g. 28/ Benediktiniu g. 2) accommodates Vilnius Branch administration, a new client service unit and a new individual safe deposit box depositary, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

Ukio bankas subsidiaries, Ukio bankao lizingas Vilnius Branch and the life insurance company Bonum Publicum, also moved to the new premises. Until now, the afore-mentioned branches and the life insurance company were settled in the capital’s Gostauto street.

Ukio bankas Vilnius Branch and the subdivisions of the companies managed by the Bank occupy 4 flours of the building with a total area of more than 1,500 square meters. The building’s restoration started last year, premises were fitted up this year and installation of communication networks was completed in September when the documentation was transferred too.

“In the old town of Vilnius it will be easier for the clients to reach us. In addition, there will be more space here which better matches our needs and, what is most important, the needs of our clients. There are more separate rooms for the staff working with corporate clients – the whole second floor of the building is devoted for this purpose. Here corporate clients will be able to solve their relevant issues,” Ingrida Kondrotiene, manager of Ukio bankas Vilnius Branch, said.
As maintained by the manager of Vilnius Branch, with a view to satisfy the increased demand for safe deposit boxes, Ukio bankas equipped new individual safe deposit boxes in the premises of Vilnius Branch.

“Recently more and more people become aware that keeping personal property in bank safe deposit boxes is much more reliable than keeping at home. We have noticed that the number of those willing to rent individual safe deposit boxes has significantly risen,” Ukio bankas Vilnius Branch manager Ingrida Kondrotiene said.

From now on personal property is accepted for custody not only in Gostautas and Seskine units but also in Ukio bankas Vilnius Branch in the old town. The Bank offers for rent safe deposit boxes in different sizes: smaller individual safe deposit boxes up to 20 dm? and larger ones with a volume over 50 dm?. Safe deposit box rentals vary from 240 litas to 280 litas. The major part of the new safe deposit boxes has been already rented.

Ukio bankas Vilnius Branch employs 71 people. The branch in Vilnius holds 12 client service units.
